Quiet Thanksgiving

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year. All the family headed up to Canada for Papa Rice's funeral, but unfortunately we couldn't go. We were really sad about everything, but we know he is in a much better place now, so I am happy for him.

Ryan, Peyton and I went to Grandma Penny's friend Nancy Taylors for dinner. It was weird not being around lots of family, but we were grateful to be able to enjoy a good home cooked meal. Peyton loved playing with all the kids and I was just glad I didn't have to cook :)

Ha! This is just a cute picture of Sweet P. with hair. Even if it is a little green. Everyone in her dance class has TONS of hair. But we love our little baldy no matter what!! The doctor did give us some different medicines to try and see if it will fill in all her little bald spots on her head so cross your fingers it works! I just hate it when the doctor looks at you and says, "hmmm, I've never seen this before." It's really comforting :) But at least its just hair and not something worse right!!

And here I am at 28 weeks (above) and then POW! 30 weeks comes (below) and I blow up like a balloon!! I literally could see my stomach growing by the hour. One day I was wearing my peacoat and it fit just fine in the morning. Come afternoon it was starting to feel a little snug and then that night WHAMO! I could barely button it and the buttons were pulling in every direction! It was SO WEIRD!

Well, we are all doing GREAT! Peyton is very excited for her baby brother. We finally went and bought some boy things and Peyton has been enjoying putting all his clothes on her little baby doll.

I have to admit I'm not in "boy mode" yet though. It took me hours of shopping just to find a couple outfits I liked. I just sat there staring at everything thinking, "I really don't like boy clothes." And don't get me started on names. I can't think of ANYTHING! This poor kid might end up with a girls name if I don't get some help here soon :) Don't get me wrong. I am SUPER EXCITED to have a crazy little boy in the house. I've just been in girl mode for so long!

So 8 more weeks!!

Here's to hoping the Holidays make time fly by!

Halloween and such . . .

Life hasn't been too eventful lately. Ryan keeps telling me I need a new hobby because I am constantly saying I am bored. I have a huge long list of things I could/should do that I am procrastinating, but I want to do something fun! I'm bored of cooking, cleaning, preparing for a new baby and working!

Peyton had a fabulous Halloween. She was so sad that it was over. For dance class she dressed up like a ghost and her teacher had a special "glow in the dark" dance day. I was nervous Peyton would be scared, but she LOVED it!

Then, for Halloween she dressed up as "Minnie Mouse" she loves "mimi" so much and was VERY excited to say the least. For some reason she was deathly afraid of the white gloves though :( After 45 minutes of convincing I finally got her to put them on for 2 minutes while Grandpa Gardner caught a picture.

Peyton was SO much fun trick-or-treating. After every house she would yell, "RUN! Mom RUN!" and we would run as fast as we could to the next house. Ha! I was done after about 5 houses and then I was glad that Ryan was there to walk while I rode along in the car with my friends Liz and Anne. What can I say, there are lots of hills around here and I'm fat and pregnant :)

Peyton was very brave and even went in a haunted spook alley. She trick-or-treated for a whole hour, running the whole time! Ry had to carry her bag cause it got too heavy for her! Ha! Not to mention, we were in the best neighborhood! She got 9 king size candy bars and a Dr. Pepper! Dad was very excited :) I was very proud of my polite little princess too. She kindly made sure to say "trick-or-treat" at each house and left with a big (yelling) "Thank You!"

For breakfast we had "how-ween punkin pancakes"

Peyton thought it was very cool and was especially grateful for the chocolate chips!

And for all the curious ones, here is a picture of me at 25 weeks. I'm a lot smaller than I was with Peyton. I think because he is so low! I feel like he's going to fall out already and I'm only 28 weeks now.

This time around has been 100 times easier. With Peyton I was really sick and throwing up the whole entire time. This time I feel great! I have gotten pretty sick about 6 times, which is a piece of cake compared to last time. I feel like time has stopped though and this baby will never come. I am hoping with the holidays coming, time will start to go by faster. It usually does, right?

Here is a video of Peyton telling Santa what she wants for Christmas. Somehow she knows all about the holiday and Santa and presents. I have no idea how cause we never talk about it! But the other day she woke up and out of the blue told me "Mom! Santa, coming! Kiss-mas!

The other day Peyton went potty on the big girl potty. Afterwards I told her to go wash her hands so she did as any girl would . . . she washed them in "her sink"! So Cute!!

Peyton turned 2! We took her to the store and she picked out her cake. Buzz and Woody of course!

It was lunch time and Peyton wanted to go play. I told her she had to eat all her crackers first. So she took a bite out of each one, yelled "All Done" and hopped on her way. I said, "Peyton, you need to eat ALL the crackers." She looked at me sincerely and said "I did! See"

I guess in her eyes she did eat ALL the crackers. I never said how much of ALL of them she had to eat! Ha!

Sweet P. chillaxin. I always find her in the funniest places just hanging out.

We're having a

BOY!

Due Date: Feb. 1, 2012

I tell one person at church I'm expecting only because we have the same due date, and next thing you know . . . Everyone knows! So I decided I best start telling all my friends! Sorry if you heard it through the grapevine before I was able to officially announce it. Apparently news travels extremely fast in our neck of the woods ;) I haven't decided yet if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Ha!

Well, needless to say, we are all very excited! Peyton is VERY protective of "her baby" and gives lots of hugs and kisses everyday. I must admit though, she is a little bummed it's not a girl.

Now somebody please tell my brother to get on with it! My kids need some cousins!!!

It's Been So Long! We did find our camera, but we don't have Internet at our current house so I haven't posted them! I am at Ryan's office and luckily he has a couple on his computer for all you blog addicts out there :)

So much has happened in the past couple months! Where to begin?

We moved to Traverse Mountain in Lehi but it's temporary and we will be moving again September 1st hopefully to stay for a while.

Peyton is walking! She took her first steps about a month ago. I can't believe how big she is getting so fast!

She is such a smart girl. She knows her eyes, ears, nose, lips and hair.

She will try to put her shoes on if you ask her to.

She deliberately disobeys when you tell her "no" and then she giggles guiltily.

She dances ALL the time and has her own favorite songs. Her favorite bands are "He Is We" for bedtime (works like a charm) and Paul McCartney and the Beetles ha! Who knew?

She climbs on EVERYTHING. She can climb to the top of the couch, on top of chairs and tables, up the stairs and into secret hiding places. A little scary for MaMa!

Peyton got an early Christmas present!

"Jenny Jump Up" is the best invention ever. It has been around since Ry and I were babies.

Anyway, I got one for Peyton for christmas, but I couldn't wait to try it out.

She L-O-V-E-S it!!

(our doors are too tall so we have to stack boxes under her so she can touch the ground, ha ha)

This is a pretty bad video, but it shows her adorable little smile!

She pretty much just hangs there right now and chews on the side, but she will stay in it for hours and laugh at herself. She is so big and strong!

So, the other night, I look down and see Sweet P. sleeping face down like this. Considering she probably can't breath to well, I flip her over on her side and start laughing uncontrollably! She literally has a button nose! You can't really tell in the above picture, but it was so funny. She had been laying right on my button and it imprinted on her nose. It was so cute! Poor thing, probably wasn't very comfortable.

Sometimes I find her sleeping in the funniest ways! How cute!

5 weeks seems like an ETERNITY. I am so jealous of all those girls that love being pregnant and feel great, but I am going to be honest, I hate it. I just can't wait to get this little bundle of joy out of me. I love her to death, but I hate all the kicking and jabbing and aching and vomiting (TMI?)

And I hate going to the doctor. If you don't know this about me already, I NEVER go to the doctor for anything. I have never taken medicine/antibiotics of any kind. The only time I have been to the doctor was for a stitches, a broken arm (which I hid from my parents for 2 weeks cause I didn't want to go) and the "pre-wedding" exam my mom dragged me to. I probably would have gone the whole pregnancy without going to the doctor if my mom hadn't called to make the appointment and drove me down there :) Kind of pathetic I know, I just think that if I am going to die, I would rather just not know about it.

I especially hate going when it's an appointment like I had today that was a complete waste of time. I went and waited for my turn for 25 minutes. Finally they took me back to stand on the scale which is never accurate cause you have shoes and clothes on and I am always holding my phone and keys or purse. Then they check my blood pressure and listen to the heart for maybe 2 seconds if your lucky. That's it. Done. At least the baby is healthy, but I almost wish they would poke and prod more. If something was wrong would they really know from just my weight and blood pressure? I think not.

Lately, my feet have been hurting SO bad to walk on them. It feels like my bones are breaking. Ryan says it's cause I have been so skinny my whole life and now I am carrying all this extra weight so fast that my body isn't used to it. I hope he is right and they won't have to amputate.

Well, 5 more weeks to go! I am voting for 3 1/2 weeks though. I was a HUGE baby and so was Ryan so early might be better ;) Wish me luck!

So, everything is in the wrong order, but Oh Well!! Here are some pictures of what's been happening around here lately! My mom was in a play! "The Ten Virgins" and she was so cute!! It was a ward thing they put on but it was a big deal and she was really nervous and wanted to do a really good job. She did awesome!! I keep telling her she should take up acting!

My first Thanksgiving! Yes, I did EVERYTHING all by myself, FROM SCRATCH! Quite an accomplishment I must say. It was a lot of work, but it was really fun. (With help from Holly and Leah) I made Chocoloate cream pie, blueberry pie, lemon cream pie and a fun spin on Pumpkin Pie (the amazing pumpkin truffle).

My first Turkey! It was DELICIOUS if I may say so myself. I brined the turkey in apple juice over night and then I made a homemade sage butter and put it underneath the skin of the turkey instead of on top. It made the butter juices stay inside and it was so moist and yummy, and I don't even like turkey! In addition I made sweet potatoes with roasted banana in them, a homemade orange cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and rolls. There was more stuff I think but I can't really remember that far back!

We had the Gardner Family and my family over for dinner. It was a lot of fun!

It's a Crazy Life!

Life has been so crazy busy lately! So much has happened in the past month I don't know where to begin. . . . .

We had to say goodbye to our best friends! (Paul and Alicia) They moved out to Florida to do summer sales :( This was our last night together. We went to a restaurant in Park City and the food was amazing! Yummm! We can't wait til they get back!

Then we had Spring Break! I was so excited for a much needed break from dance and life and then this happened! I woke up to 3 feet of miserable snow on the ground. Laying out at the pool all week just wasn't an option any more :(

Then, I had my last competition for dance which went very well except my grandma passed away in the middle of it so that we really sad. So, then we had to drive to Canada for the funeral, then drive back in time for 3 dress rehearsals, and 2 spring dance recitals. CRAZINESS!

Then the next day was Mother's Day! We went to brunch at the Little America and I was so unbelievable tired by now, when people noticed I was walking funny, I looked down and MY SHOES WERE ON THE WRONG FEET! Then we went home to change and go to Ryan's parents and I PUT MY CLOTHES ON BACKWARDS!

It has definitely been an eventful and stressful two weeks! But, no worries! All the stress and performing the teacher's dance in the Spring Concert had no effect on our sweet little baby! We went to the doctor today and everything looks great! We hope everyone is doing great! We miss you all! And I AM OFF TO BED!!! YEAH!

Its a Girl!

So, we finally found out that we are having a Baby Girl! We are so excited! Seeing the baby was so amazing, but we didn't get to see much cause she was all curled up relaxing the day away!

Ryan is SO excited that we are having a girl. He will be such a great daddy. He was so cute with my little sister Leah and he will be even cuter with our own little bundle of joy.

I guess the next step is SHOPPING!

I think I can handle that ;)

(except I have come to realize I am very picky when it comes to the nursery. If anyone knows any places with cute bedding let me know!)

Baby Girl or Baby Boy? Or Both?

Well, I am just about 17 weeks now! Ryan and I can't decide if we should spend the money to find out what we are having early or just wait until 20 weeks to hear it from the doctor. I personally can't wait to find out! It hasn't really registered to us that there is something growing inside me. It will finally feel more real when we know what we are having.

I don't think I am really showing yet, but I posted a picture anyway for all that are curious.
